We are at the very beginning of our journey with Wintersun Sauna. We’re currently seeking land partners: farms, orchards, and parks, who can host our mobile sauna. This partnership is beneficial to both by boosting visitor engagement, supports year-round traffic, and opens new revenue through shared space, and co-branded events.

Founded by Chris Callaway, New Paltz resident, photographer, father, and your future fire-stoker. Wintersun grew from a simple realization: our community needs more ways to connect during the quiet seasons. Winter here can feel isolating, and too often, wellness is treated as a luxury. We believe it should be a preventative practice for both body and mind, available to locals and visitors alike at a reasonable price.

At its heart, Wintersun is about gathering. It’s about stepping into the warmth of a cedar sauna, fueled by sustainably sourced firewood, and stepping back out into crisp air, feeling more connected to yourself, to others, and to the land around you.

We are just getting started, but our vision is clear: to create a welcoming, nature-focused space where health and community can thrive.
